| Absolute Software Announces State-Wide Purchasing Contract with State of Georgia
VANCOUVER, Aug. 1 - Absolute Software Corporation ("Absolute"), the leading provider of firmware-based, patented Computer Theft Recovery, Data Protection and Secure Asset Tracking solutions announced that the State of Georgia has signed a state-wide purchase contract with Absolute to encourage and enable state agencies and universities to acquire Absolute's Computrace solutions at a volume discount as part of their "Securing Sensitive Data" initiative. The purchasing contract was negotiated with the Information Technology Contracts and Licensing Administration, a unit within the Office of the Chief Information Officer, in cooperation with the Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Georgia at Athens (UGA) and the UGA Procurement Office. Orbital Wins $9 Million Contract For Nashville Bus System
Dulles-based Orbital Sciences Corp. has been awarded a $9 million contract to install a tracking system for the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools in Nashville, TN.The system, which provides navigational guides to school bus drivers, also will help the school district track and manage operations of its 685-vehicle fleet, an Orbital press release said.Orbital TMS, a division of the small rocket manufacturing company, will deliver the system in three stages over 36 months, beginning with the installation of an 800 MHz two-way voice communications radio system in the vehicles.Then, Orbital will install software that uses satellite-delivered positioning information to track vehicles along prescheduled routes at the school district's control center and on the entire fleet of school buses and administrative vehicles.In the last stage, Orbital will install video cameras in the buses."This agreement proves that Orbital's products are beneficial to a variety of transportation services, from public transit systems to highway maintenance vehicles and from private vehicle fleets and light rail systems to large-scale school bus systems, our products make their operations more efficient, improve customer service and add new levels of safety and security for both the operators and the public-at-large," said A.

The Silicon Valley company, which neither admitted nor denied the allegations, was not fined. Big day: Shares of BladeLogic Inc., a Lexington maker of software for data centers, rose 47 percent in their first day of trading as investors bet demand for the company's products will boost sales. The shares rose $8.07 to $25.07, valuing BladeLogic at $649 million. Shrinking verdict: LoJack Corp., a maker of stolen-car tracking devices, will appeal the cuts in a $36.7 million jury award to $1.2 million. The verdict was against a unit of IXYS Corp. in a breach-of-contract case.

Airtel inks deal with Elbee Express
NEW DELHI: Airtel Enterprise Services, a business unit of Bharti Airtel Ltd, today announced that it has bagged a sales force automation contract from Elbee Express. According to the contract, Airtel would set-up a customized end-to-end sales force automation solution for the pick-up and delivery process of Elbee Express. This win makes Bharti Airtel the first service provider in India to offer a customized solution on an end-to-end basis by providing all components of the service including hardware, software, connectivity, hosting and support for a mobile enabled field force automation solution, Airtel said in a statement.
